DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys made a relatively minor roster move on Saturday, calling up rookie un-drafted free agent linebacker Francis Bernard from the practice squad.
The team announced the move Saturday afternoon ahead of their matchup with the 2-1 Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Bernard, who had a great camp with Dallas, was a surprise snub from the team's 53-man roster heading into the regular season, but will now get his chance to provide some depth.
Barring unforeseen circumstances, Bernard will most likely be deployed primarily on special teams against the Browns.
