Cowboys-Cardinals by the numbers

What a difference a week makes.

It was nothing but sunshine, lollipops, and talk of the #1 seed after last week’s 42-point blowout of Washington. This morning people are waking up asking once more what’s wrong with the offense, why the team is so wildly inconsistent, and are now facing the prospects of opening the playoffs against an Arizona team that beat you 25-22 on Sunday.

Here’s a look at some of the most interesting numbers coming out of the Cowboys and Cardinals game:

0 – Dak Prescott is now 0-3 this year when the defense fails to generate a turnover.

1 – Yesterday marked the first time in Dak Prescott’s career that he lost a game in which he threw at least three touchdowns and had zero interceptions. NFL quarterbacks are 44-6 this season when they have at least three touchdown passes and zero interceptions.

3 – Yesterday was the third time the Cowboys have lost this season when they’ve been 6-point favorites or greater.

5 – Cedrick Wilson is now one of five players in NFL history with a perfect career passer rating (minimum five attempts).

6 – The Cowboys allowed at least one third down conversion on Arizona’s first five scoring drives. They had a chance to get the Cardinals off the field and weren’t able to do it consistently.

8 – Since week 8 Ezekiel Elliott doesn’t have a single carry of 15 yards or more. He has 117 carries during that time.

20 – Micah Parsons is now the fourth rookie in NFL history to have 20 tackles for loss in a season. He joins Dwight Freeney, Lavonte David, and Kendrell Bell.

25 – Yesterday marked just the third time Dak Prescott has lost a home game when the defense allows 25 points or fewer.

38 – Trevon Diggs and Anthony Brown have now combined for 38 passes defensed this year. That’s the most between two Cowboys teammates in franchise history.

43 – The Cowboys are now 0-3 this season when they allow a 3rd down conversion rate of 43% or more.

100 – The Cowboys are now 1-5 this season when they rush for fewer than 100 yards.
