DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Dallas Cowboys starting cornerback Chidobe Awuzie has been added to the Reserve/COVID-19 list, according to a report from Dallas Morning News reporter, Michael Gehlken.

However this does not necessarily mean that Awuzie has tested positive for COVID-19. It is also for players who have been deemed to be in 'high risk' close contact with an infected individual.

If the player test positive, he must way until at least 10 days have passed since his symptoms initially appeared, and At least 72 hours since symptoms occurred. That player's return must then be approved by the team physican.

If the player is simply 'high risk', that player will remain on the COVID-19 list, until no less than five days have passed since the date that the player was last in contact with the infected individual.

The player can then resume activities six days after being placed on the list if all of his tests over that timeframe, are negative.

Awuzie, who had just recently returned to the lineup in week 11 after missing eight weeks with a hamstring injury that he suffered in the Cowboys 40-39 win in week two against the Atlanta Falcons, is now expected to miss the team's week 15 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
