Dallas Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph was forced to leave the teams preseason matchup vs the Seattle Seahawks on Friday night, with what the team has diagnosed as a concussion.
The injury comes at an inopportune time for Joseph, who is currently fighting for a roster spot following a controversial offseason, and a subpar performance through training camp.
Joseph, the former second round pick, is competing for a roster spot with DaRon Bland among others, and his spot is far from guaranteed at this point.
Last season, Joseph appeared in 10 games, starting two, finishing with 16 tackles, one tackle for loss, two pass deflections and a fumble recovery.
Joseph will not return to the game.
