DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The hits keep on coming.
Cowboys rookie cornerback Trevon Diggs will miss the next 4-6 weeks after he suffered a fracture in his foot in Sunday's loss to Pittsburgh, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported Tuesday morning.
With the Cowboys only having seven games left to play, Rapoport reports that "it's possible" his 2020 season is over, but he's expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2021 season.
The Cowboys have lost several key players to injuries this season. This latest injury is a disaster for a defense that has rapidly improved over the last two weeks.
The 2020 second round pick out of Alabama has been one of Dallas' best players on defense this season. He had 48 tackles, 10 pass deflections and two interceptions in nine games.
Diggs will likely join starting tackles La'el Collins and Tyron Smith, tight end Blake Jarwin, and quarterback Dak Prescott on injured reserve.
