DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The first day of cuts arrived in the NFL on Tuesday and the Cowboys reduced their roster from 90 to 85 players.

To get there, Dallas placed 2020 fourth-round pick Reggie Robinson III on injured reserve with turf toe. The cornerback suffered the injury in Friday's preseason game vs the Arizona Cardinals and will miss the rest of the season.

The Cowboys also placed fullback Sewo Olonilua (neck) on IR Tuesday. The 2020 undrafted free agent out of TCU was the favorite to win the 'starting' fullback position on the Cowboys offense, and looked to be a prime contender for the final regular-season roster. He'll also miss the entire season.

The Cowboys also released cornerback Kyron Brown and former Longhorns receiver Brennan Eagles, and placed rookie linebacker Anthony Hines on the waived/injured list.

The next cutdown day comes on Tuesday, Aug. 24 when the Cowboys must reduce the roster to 80 players.

The final cut will come after the Cowboys' final preseason game when teams must get their rosters down to 53 players.
