DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott returned to practice on Thursday and it appears that he's on track to return to the starting lineup against the Broncos this weekend.

Prescott missed the Cowboys' Week 8 win over the Vikings on Sunday Night Football due to a strained calf. He was limited to rehab work last week but was able to take first-team reps in Thursday's practice.

After the session, the quarterback said it was "safe to say" he'll be starting on Sunday at AT&T Stadium, per DallasCowboys.com.

"I'm feeling good," Prescott said. "Obviously I had two weeks to do a lot of rehab and recover, get everything that I needed to, the different modalities, and I feel good. Had two great days of practice and looking forward to Sunday."

Those comments mirror the one's Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy made earlier Thursday when he said that “The plan is for (Prescott) to practice and play (Sunday)."

As for how his calf is healing up, Prescott said that it feels "pretty close" to 100%.

"I won't stop doing all the things necessary to make sure that I stay on top of it," he said.
