DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys were without one of their best defenders in practice on Wednesday, in defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence.
However, Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy believes Lawrence will be ready to go on Sunday vs. the Vikings.
“Just being smart with him," McCarthy said. "The intent is for [Lawrence] to play Sunday.'
McCarthy also indicated that Lawrence would be a limited participant in practice on Thursday.
This season, Lawrence has been arguably the Cowboys best pass rusher outside of Micah Parsons with five sacks, and is currently on pace to have his highest sack total since the 2018 season.
42 tackles, seven tackles for loss, seven quarterback hits, and two forced fumbles in nine games.
