The Dallas Cowboys entered their Sunday Night Football matchup against the San Francisco 49ers with the eyes of the NFL world upon them.
And in the midst of that pressure, they failed miserably, getting blown out by the 49ers 42-10, and dropping to 3-2 on the season.
The issues started early on for Dallas, with the 49ers jumping out to a quick 14-0 lead in the first quarter. The Cowboys were able to respond with a touchdown of their own to KaVontae Turpin.
But soon after that, the Niners were back on the board once again, taking a 21-10 lead into the locker room at halftime.
After that, the route was on, with San Francisco scoring 21 unanswered points in the second half.
The 49ers were led in the blowout by quarterback Brock Purdy, who completed 17 of 24 passes for 252 yards and four touchdowns, remaining undefeated in the regular season as an NFL quarterback.
Tight end George Kittle was the other main star for San Francisco, catching three passes for 67 yards with three touchdowns.
On the other side, the Cowboys offense was anything but effective, with Dak Prescott tossing three interceptions on 14 of 24 completions, Tony Pollard was the Cowboys leading rusher with 29 yards on eight carries.
Pollard was also responsible for the Cowboys other turnover, fumbling deep in Dallas territory and setting up another Niners score.
Following the loss, Dallas will return to the drawing board in preparation for their Monday Night Football matchup with the Chargers in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium.
