Cowboys hiring Klayton Adams as new offensive coordinator

The Dallas Cowboys have now filled all three major assistant position on Brian Schottenheimer's new staff.

According to reports from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cowboys have tabbed former Arizona Cardinals offensive line coach Klatyon Adam's as the team's new offensive coordiantor.

He now joins Matt Eberflus (defense) and Nick Sorensen (special teams) on the Cowboys staff.

Adams got his career in coaching started at the college level as a grad assistant at Boise State, eventually elevating himself to a co-offensive coordinator position with the Colorado Buffaloes by 2018.

He then made his way to the NFL level as an assisstant offensive line coach with the Colts in 2019, and was promoted to tight ends coach in 2021. He was then hired by the Cardinals to coach the offensive line in 2023.

This past season, the Cardinals ranked 10th in the NFL total offense, seventh in rushing and 18th in passing. In 2023, Arizona ranked fourth in the NFL in rushing, 26th in passing and 19th in total offense.

Adams will not be calling plays with Dallas, as Schottenheimer has already been named the Cowboys play caller.

That said, it is no surprise that the Cowboys are looking his way, given the Arizona's strength in the rung game, as they are looking to focus on improving in that area in 2025.
