The NFC East champion Dallas Cowboys entered the Wild Card round of the playoffs with high expectations, and looking for playoff revenge against the Green Bay Packers.

But after one half of play, they look to be in major trouble, trailing 27-7 heading into the locker room at halftime.

Things started roughly for the Cowboys from the jump, with the Packers marching down the field for an opening drive score to put Green Bay up 7-0.

Not long after that, a big mistake from Dak Prescott put the Cowboys in another hole, with Jaire Alexander intercepting a pass intended for Brandin Cooks.

A couple of players later, the Packers were in the end zone again, and up two scores at 14-0 on an Aaron Jones touchdown run.

The bleeding didn't stop there, however.

After coming up short and being forced to punt yet again, Packers quarterback Jordan Love went to work, marching Green Bay down the field for another touchdown. Love's touchdown pass put the Packers up 20-0.

And just when it looked like Dallas was beginning to put together a solid drive, disaster struck again, with Prescott tossing his second pick. Except this time, it was returned for a touchdown by Darnell Savage, putting Green Bay up 27-0.

The Cowboys were able to end the half on a positive note, however, with Prescott hitting Jake Ferguson for a score as time expired, cutting the Green Bay lead to 20 points.

The Cowboys will start the second half with the football.
