Jerry Jones on Cowboys' areas of improvement, why it's 'foolish' to think fan tours impact players
105.3 The Fan's Shan Shariff couldn't have described it any better when he posted on X following the K&C Masterpiece's Friday morning interview with Jerry Jones, that the Cowboys owner and general manager was 'more aware and in touch with all the criticism' today than he might have been all season.
When Jones was asked during the interview what his team does best, he admitted that they have a lot of work to do.
"I'll be very candid with you, every aspect needs improvement from where I thought I would be, we would be (and) I know (from) where the players and the coaches think they would be. That’s not discouraging to me, at all,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan.
Jones went on to say that if every player pays closer attention to the details of their assignment they will see a lot of improvement in all phases of the game.
Jones also weighed in on ESPN's story about the team's guided tours at their headquarters at The Star in Frisco and the narrative that the tours have a negative impact on players and the team's ultimate goal of winning a championship.
Jones said it was 'foolish' to think the tours would impact the players, and he even thanked the reporter for writing the story because it would bring them more exposure and generate more revenue.
