DALLAS (105.3 The fan) - The Dallas Cowboys position in the upcoming NFL Draft is a coveted one.

Sitting with the No. 10 overall selection in a deep draft, the Cowboys appear to be in line to select another top-level talent, following their selection in 2020 of wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

That is unless, another team attempts to trade up to the Cowboys spot to chase their own franchise changing star.

Discussing the NFL Draft with the K&C Masterpiece, Cowboys CEO Stephen Jones says that the team is just now starting to get calls on the No. 10 pick, saying they will indeed listen to offers and could potentially move if they find one they like.

"It's really just starting to pick up," Jones told K&C Masterpiece on Monday. "I'm sure up at the top it's hot because as you've already seen, one trade has been made. But where we sit, we're starting to get a few calls, and It'll only pick up as we get closer to next Thursday."

Given the amount of franchise-changing talent at the top of the draft, especially at the quarterback position, and with teams like New England, Philadelphia, and Washington sitting behind them, there is any number of teams that could potentially line up for their shot at moving up to draft a star.

But what would it take for one of those teams to move up? If you ask Jones, it could depend on who is the most aggressive.

"They kind of give you the call 'Hey if our guy is there we would be interested in moving up to the pick' and may want to even want to throw out a few things like 'what would it take?' and those types of things," Jones said. "So you start to get your self in a mode where you're prepared that a particular team could call if their player is there, whether it's a quarterback they're after, whether it is an offensive lineman or a defensive player, they won't divulge that usually, which shouldn't surprise you, but they do say 'hey we've got a player or two or three that if they're there we might be willing to be aggressive and give you something to move up to that pick."

The first round of the NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 29 at 7pm.
