Cowboys speedster KaVontae Turpin, DB C.J. Goodwin OUT vs. 49ers

The Dallas Cowboys have lost two impact players on Sunday night, with wide receiver and kick returner KaVontae Turpin and special teams ace C.J. Goodwin both being ruled out with injuries.

Turpin, who scored his first career receiving touchdown in the second quarter, injured his ankle and will miss the remainder of the game.


Turpin will be replaced by Duece Vaughn for punt returns, and Rico Dowdle for kick returns.

Currently in his second season with Dallas, had four catches for 25 yards coming into Sunday night's game.

Goodwin, meanwhile, is the primary gunner for the Cowboys on punt coverage, and has been ruled out with a shoulder injury.

Goodwin has 50 tackles in his Cowboys career and has appeared in 73 games.

The Cowboys also have an injury concern with starting corner Daron Bland, who is currently in the locker room undergoing further evaluation after an injury of his own.
