DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - After a disastrous start to the 2020 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys managed to claw their way back into playoff contention on Sunday, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 37-17 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

It was the Cowboys third-straight win, and perhaps the most impressive win on the season to date.

Following a slow start in which his team trailed 14-3 after the first quarter, Andy Dalton and the Cowboys offense came to life, outscoring Philadelphia 27-3 for the remainder of the contest.

Dalton finished the game completing 22-33 for 377 yards and three touchdowns, finally surpassing starting QB Dak Prescott as the team's leading passer for the season in the process.

Dalton's receivers arguably had their best collective game of the season as well, with Michael Gallup hauling in six catches for 121 yards and two scores, while Amari Cooper had 121 yards of his own on four catches, and rookie phenom CeeDee Lamb added three grabs for 65 yards and a touchdown. Lamb also added a rushing touchdown to ice the game with two minutes to go in the game.

Ezekiel Elliott also had arguably his best game of the season to date, running the ball 19 times for 105 yards, and bringing in four receptions for 34 yards as well.

For the day, the Cowboys offense finished with 513 total yards of offense and turned the ball over just one time.

Defensively, however, is where Dallas won this football game, forcing three Jalen Hurts turnovers, and holding Philadelphia to just 17 points on the day. The Eagles did manage 477 yards of total offense but were not able to get on the scoreboard in the second half, allowing Dallas to put the game away.

With the win, in addition to the Washington Football team loss to the Carolina Panthers, Dallas heads into next Sunday's matchup with the New York Giants with their playoff hopes very much alive.

And If They are able to win in New York, to go along with an Eagles win at home against the Washington Football Team, Dallas will not only secure a home playoff game, but will give Mike McCarthy his first NFC title as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
