DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons looks like a guy who lives and breathes football, so it's not really a surprise to see that he doesn't know anything about hockey.
Parsons, a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was invited to drop the puck before the AHL’s Hershey Bears' regular-season finale against the Syracuse Crunch over the weekend.
And, let's just say, it didn't do quite as planned because no one informed Parsons of how the traditional puck drop works.
As you can see in the video below, Parsons walked down the carpet and simply dropped the puck into the center circle before a player for each team could arrive for the draw.
Parsons picked up the puck and did it correctly the second time, but the damage was already done, especially after the Bears' social team tweeted out a video and an apology to Parsons for not explaining his duty.
Parsons appeared to take it all in stride, but some, including fellow Penn State alum Saquon Barkley, had some fun at his expense.
