Cowboys looking to add Ken Dorsey to coaching staff

The Dallas Cowboys have added another name to Brian Schottenheimer's new coaching staff.

According to reports from NFL Network's Mike Garafalo, the Cowboys have their eyes set on hiring former Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey to an offensive assistant role on the staff.

Dorsey was fired by the Browns last season after a disastrous season in which Cleveland finished last in the NFL in scoring offense.

Before his time in Cleveland, Dorsey was the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills, guiding an offense that finished No. 2 in the NFL in both scoring and total yards in 2022. That year, Bills star QB Josh Allen 4,283 yards and 35 touchdowns with 14 interceptions, and rushed for seven more scores.

However, Dorsey was fired from that job in the middle of the following season after a poor start for the team in which they went 5-5 and had six-straight games of scoring 25 points or less.

Dorsey also served as the QB coach for the QB coach for the Bills in 2019 and 2020, and was the QB coach for the Panthers from 2013 to 2017.
