UPDATE (12/13): The Cowboys announced following the game that Smith will be re-evaluated on Monday to determine the severity of his ankle injury.

Cowboys insider Nick Eatman said Monday morning on Shan and RJ that there is some concern with the injury, and he'd be surprised if Smith played this week against the Giants.

There is some good news, however, as Eatman said that he observed Smith in the locker room after the game and the All-Pro left tackle appeared to be in good spirits and was moving around well.

"I can see maybe one, but maybe not two (missed games). This is not a super, long-term injury here."

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have dominated the Washington football thus far on Sunday, leading 27-8 in the fourth quarter. However, they may have just had a major setback.

In the second half of Sunday's game, Cowboys starting left tackle and offensive line anchor Tyron Smith went down with a lower-body injury, forcing him to leave the contest.

Smith was helped to the sideline, where he would undergo a medical evaluation. The injury was later localized to his left ankle.

Smith attempted to test the stability of the ankle on the sidelines, but so far has been unable to re-enter the game, and has been designated as questionable to return.

Smith was replaced by swing tackle Ty Nsekhe in the lineup.
