Reinforcements are on the way?
Two of the three Cowboys starting offensive linemen who missed last week's loss to the Cardinals, guard Zack Martin and center Tyler Biadasz, are "definitely making a lot of progress," head coach Mike McCarthy said Friday morning during his visit with Shan, RJ and Bobby on 105.3 The Fan.
Martin (ankle) and Biadasz (hamstring) were upgraded to limited practice participants on Thursday's injury report after missing practice on Wednesday. The upgrade in statuses gives them a chance to play on Sunday against the Patriots.
Left tackle Tyron Smith (knee) appears unlikely to play after missing practices on Wednesday and Thursday. After working with the rehab group during practices this week, McCarthy indicated on 105.3 The Fan that Smith would continue working off to the side on Friday.
Veteran offensive lineman Chuma Edoga would start in place of Smith should he not play Sunday.
