As a result of his positive diagnosis, McCarthy will now be forced to miss the Cowboys' tilt with the New Orleans Saints at the Super Dome on Thursday.

However, it appears that McCarthy was far from the only member of the Cowboys team to be affected by the virus, with reports surfacing that there have been as many as eight positive tests in Dallas.

According to another report from Mike Fisher, offensive line coach Joe Philbin and assistant line coach Jeff Blasko have also been ruled out due to COVID protocols.

Fisher also reported that, despite the COVID diagnosis, McCarthy will remain involved in game planning and preparation virtually, and "will continue to direct and be in involved in, all meetings and game preparations on a virtual basis for the remainder of the week, including Thursday’s meetings in New Orleans."

The Cowboys and the Saints will kick off at 7:20 PM on Thursday night, and you can listen to the game on 105.3 The Fan.
