DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have gone all in on the trenches with their first three picks of the 2024 NFL Draft. Now, they have addressed the linebacker position.
With the No. 87 pick in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Cowboys have selected Notre Dame Fighting Irish standout linebacker Marist Liufau.
Liafau had a fifth round grade and was the No. 188 player on 105.3 The Fan's Bryan Broaddus' Big Board.
In four seasons at Notre Dame, Liufau plaued in 33 games, making 117 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and four sacks. He also had an interception, three passes defended and three fumble recoveries.
He started all 12 games for the Irish in 2023, making 44 tackles with three sacks.
He went to the same high school as former Irish star Manti Te'o at Punahou in Honolulu.
