The Dallas Cowboys lost a frustrating matchup to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night, but there is still good news on the horizon for America's team, who look to be getting their star quarterback back.

On Sunday night following the loss, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott informed the media of his intentions to return for the team's Week 7 matchup against the Detroit Lions at AT&T Stadium.

“That’s my plan. Obviously got to see the doc, but, yeah, that’s kind of my plan," Prescott said. “Felt as food as it did (Saturday). Just on track.”

The Cowboys have been without Prescott since the season opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a thumb injury.

Prescott had surgery to repair the injury and has been rehabbing ever since.

In his absence, backup Cooper Rush has filled in admirably, leading Dallas to a 4-1 record over the last five weeks as the starter.

Against the Eagles, however, it was clear the Cowboys needed their star quarterback back under center.

Dallas and Detroit will kick off at noon from AT&T Stadium.
