FRISCO (105.3 The Fan) - Ezekiel Elliott is the latest member of the Cowboys organization to throw his support behind the team's expected push to sign free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

"It's something we've talked about here and there. We know the type of player Odell is. How explosive he can be and what he can be for this offense. It would be great to get him down here in Dallas. Just another weapon in our little repertoire. Hopefully, we can get OBJ to Dallas," Elliott said to reporters on Wednesday.

As for whether or not Beckham would fit in the Cowboys' locker room, Elliott has no reservations whatsoever that he'd become one of them.

"I'm friends with OBJ. He definitely would fit in this locker room. I don't know that there would be guys that wouldn't fit in this locker room. We got a good group of guys. But he'd definitely fit in. He's a competitor. He plays hard. Obviously, very talented. We want him. We want OBJ."

Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons, owner and general manager Jerry Jones and former Cowboys star receiver Michael Irvin have also been vocal this week about their desires to bring Beckham Jr. to America's Team.

After Jones said Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan that Beckham would "look pretty good" with a star on his helmet, Parsons addressed the receiver in a post on his Twitter account, encouraging him to join the Cowboys, which led to a reply from Beckham a short time later.

And on Wednesday morning, Irvin told 'Shan and RJ' that he believes the Cowboys are in the driver seat to sign Beckham Jr.

“Odell is built to be in Dallas. He’s been wanting to play in Dallas for a long time. I believe (the Cowboys) do have the upper hand right now," Irvin said on 'Shan and RJ.' "He's not going back to the Rams with the way they look right now. He's not going to Green Bay with the way they look right now. It'll definitely be Dallas. I think he'll have that opportunity. I wonder what the (price will be) because he'll have other opportunities. Jerry (Jones) just has to get in and get it done. And the good thing is, you're not giving up any draft picks (to get him). So, it would be a great get if (Jerry) can get Odell. ...I know he would love to play for the Cowboys."
