Cowboys Re-Sign CB C.J. Goodwin, LB Justin March, and LB Joe Thomas, Send WR Ventell Bryant To IR

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys made a host of roster moves on Sunday following the completion of their practice squad, when they resigned linebackers Joe Thomas and Justin March, as well as cornerback C.J. Goodwin, and sent wide receiver Ventell Bryant to the injured reserve list.

The moves were first reported by Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.

While Thomas, March, and Goodwin were all released, there was reportedly always a plan for the Cowboys to bring them back as soon as possible.

Thomas is a key member and veteran presence of the linebacker room, while March and Goodwin provide veteran depth and special teams productivity to the 53-man roster.

Bryant, who has an injured knee, will linebacker Sean Lee and offensive tackle La'el collins on injured reserve to start the season. Lee inured his pelvis in camp, while Collins is hampered by an injured hip. Neither injuries to Lee and Collins are considered serious.

Bryant made the 53-man roster after camp, joining Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, CeeDee Lamb, Cedrick Wilson, and Noah Brown in the position group.

Bryant played in 6 games with Dallas last season, mostly on special teams, where he had 6 tackles.
