DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have restructured the contract of star defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, according to multiple reports.
The move clears up $8.89 million in cap room for the Cowboys, allowing them to have more flexibility in free agency.
In total, the Cowboys have cleared up almost $45 million in cap room, thanks to restructuring the contracts of Dak Prescott, Michael Gallup, Zach Martin, and now, Lawrence.
last season, Lawrence had his best season in quite some time, finishing with a career high 65 tackles, nine tackles for loss and six sacks (his most sacks since 2018).
Lawrence also played in every regular season game for the first time since 2019.
As a result of his bounce back season Lawrence was named to his third Pro Bowl.
