Cowboys rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker is ready to step onto the practice field.
According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, Schoonmaker is expected to be activated from the Non-Football Injury list ahead of the team's scheduled practice on Monday in Oxnard.
Schoonmaker missed the first two weeks of camp due to a partially torn plantar fascia.
The Cowboys selected the former Michigan product in the second round of April's draft to be a vertical threat and a key pass blocker in the run game. He had 54 catches for 637 yards and seven touchdowns in 43 career games with the Wolverines.
Schoonmaker will join a tight end group that includes Jake Ferguson, Peyton Hendershot, Sean McKeon and John Stephens.
