Cowboys select OL Nathan Thomas with No. 233 pick in NFL Draft

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have had a major focus on the trenches throughout the draft thus far. In Round 7, that trend continued.

With the No. 233 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Cowboys have selected Louisiana offensive tackle Nathan Thomas.

Thomas now becomes the third offensive lineman and the second offensive tackle taken by the Cowboys in this year's draft.

Known as a premier run blocker, Thomas had a 74.8 overall grade on Pro Football Focus in 2023, playing in 12 games with 765 offensive snaps.

He had an overall run block grade of 76.1 and was the No. 1 tackle in the nation for PFF in terms of gap-scheme run concepts, grading out at an 83.8.

Most scouts project Thomas to shift inside to guard at the next level, where he could become a valuable depth piece for the Cowboys going forward.
