Cowboys set to hire Robert Prince as new WR coach

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have found a new wide receivers coach, in former Texans and Detroit Lions assistant, Robert Prince.

Prince is being brought in to replace now-former Cowboys wide receivers coach Adam Henry, who's contract with the team expired at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season.

Prince was hired to the same position for the Texans last season, after spending seven seasons with the Detroit Lions as both the receivers coach, and as the acting head coach in their Christmas Eve loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020.

Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore also has a connection to Prince, with Smith serving as the Boise State receivers coach in 2011, as well as the team's offensive coordinator in the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Moore was a senior on that Broncos 2011 team that finished the season with a 12-1 record, and ranked No. 8 in the nation.
