Brett Maher, formally the organization's kicker in 2018-2019, also had a "strong day," but the team elected to go with Hajrullahu with Zuerlein "unlikely to be available Sunday" against the Atlanta Falcons.

Hajrullahu spent part of training camp with the Cowboys and kicked in their preseason game against the Texans before being cut on Aug. 25 to make room on the roster for Zuerlein (back), who was activated prior to the season opener against Tampa Bay.
