DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - In the wake of his forgettable performance in the NFC Wild Card round vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys kicker Brett Maher is officially on the hot seat.
Well, kinda.

On Wednesday, the Cowboys are signing a second kicker to the roster, Tristan Vizcaino, to the practice squad.
Vizcaino was briefly with the Cowboys in 2020, before catching on with the 49ers, where he made 3 of 3 field goals in his lone game played.
Vizcaino also played six games for the Chargers in 2021, making 6 of 7 attempts, and 10 of 15 extra points.
In 2022, he kicked for New England, but did not attempt a field goal in the regular season.
He is 11 of 12 on field goals for his career, and 15 of 20 on extra points.
So is this enough to make Maher sweat after his 1-5 extra point dud against the Buccaneers?
Not yet. But if nothing else, the heat has been turned up a little bit.
