DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys added their second significant offensive signing of the day on Wednesday, in former Philadelphia Eagles utility running back Corey Clement, per multiple reports.

Clement will fall in as the third running back behind Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard, and will also play a key role on special teams.


The Cowboys signed backup QB candidate Will Grier earlier in the day, who will compete with Cooper Rush for the rights to second string behind Dak Prescott.

Clement, who spent the his first four seasons in Philadelphia, played in 46 games for the Eagles, rushing 163 times for 655 yards and seven touchdowns.

He also caught 37 passes for 340 yards and two scores, and saw time as a kick returner and a punt returner.

Clement had 18 carries for 83 yards and a score against Dallas in his career.
