According to a report, Prescott is set to visit his doctors on Tuesday x-rays and a check up, with the results from the appointment likely to determine the next steps.

“I definitely want to see Dak go through a full week of prep before he plays,” Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said Monday. “I mean, we’re not talking about being out one week here or two. This is going to be a month. . . . We’ve got four seven-day runs here, so I think that will time up.”

Prescott, who injured his thumb in the season opener against the Buccaneers, underwent surgery on September 12, and has been out since.

Luckily for the Cowboys, backup QB Cooper Rush has filled in admirably, going 3-0 in three starts, including wins over divisional their rival New York Giants and Washington Commanders.

Should Prescott be unable to go against the Rams, his next potential outing would come against undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football in Week 6.
