DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is helping the less fortunate during their time of need as North Texas continues to deal with frigid temperatures and power outages.
Our Calling, a local non-profit, says that Prescott and actor Matthew McConaughey provided meals for nearly 1,000 homeless individuals who are taking shelter from the cold weather at the Dallas Convention Center.
The metroplex is still dealing with the fallout from multiple winter storms that gripped the area from Sunday to Wednesday. At one point this week, there were over 4 million homes without power in the entire state.
Meanwhile, Prescott still remains without a long-term agreement with Dallas. The Cowboys have until March 9 to place the franchise tag on Prescott for the second straight offseason. And should they not come to an agreement by the mid-July deadline, he'll play in 2021 under the tag worth around $38 million.
