The Dallas Cowboys just suffered a potentially major setback in their Monday Night Football Wild Card matchup against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Late in the second quarter, Cowboys starting left tackle Jason Peters was forced to leave the game with a hip injury.

And while he was able to walk off of the field under his own power, after further evaluation, he has been ruled out for the remainder of the contest.

In replacement of Peters, rookie Tyler Smith has been moved out to left tackle, while backup Connor McGovern has been inserted in Smith's place at left guard.

Veteran Tyron Smith remains at right tackle, where he as played since his return from injury.

The Cowboys currently hold a 18-0 lead over the Bucs early in the third quarter.
