Cowboys sign Will McClay to extension
The Dallas Cowboys have signed Vice President of Player Personnel Will McClay to a five-year extension, according to multiple reports.
ESPN's Todd Archer was the first to report on the news of a multi-year agreement.
McClay has been with the franchise since 2002, beginning as a scout.
He then was promoted to pro scouting coordinator in 2009, and again to director of football research in 2011. Then in 2014, McClay truly began his ascension within the franchise, becoming the assistant director of player personnel.
Since that time, he has been involved in the drafting of 15 Pro Bowl players, and six All-Pro players via the draft.
McClay eventually earned the title of vice president of player personnel in 2017 - a position he has held ever since.
McClay will have a mighty task in front of him this off season, with the Cowboys in the midst of a heavy rebuild with an entirely new coaching staff.
