The Dallas Cowboys elected to go with the best player available on their board rather than pick a player from a position of need when they selected Boston College defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku at No. 44 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Ezeiruaku, a two-time team captain at Boston College, had 80 tackles, 16.5 sacks and three forced fumbles last season for the Eagles.
He joined the Draft Show on 105.3 The Fan after being selected by the Cowboys and discussed the importance of becoming a leader.
"It's very important. At the same time, I understand that as a rookie, you got to earn respect from the veterans," Ezeiruaku said on 105.3 The Fan. "You don't just walk into a building and you're the leader of the team. So, it'll be something that will be earned. I do see myself as a leader, but I can't wait to learn from the veterans inside the locker room."
Ezeiruaku will join pass rushing unit that includes Micah Parsons, Dante Fowler Jr., Marshawn Kneeland and Sam Williams.
