How bad has the Ezekiel Elliott signing been for the Cowboys this year?

After visiting with the coaching staff recently about his reduced role to begin the season, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott got his wish for more action in Week 6, leading the team's backfield in snaps (28). Due to multiple factors (poor offensive line play and Elliott's poor play), Zeke produced just 17 yards on 8 carries. For the season, he's averaging 3 yards per carry, compiling 115 yards on 38 carries.

But how bad has he been compared to the other running backs who switched teams this offseason when including salary and performance?
