DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn't anticipate his team making a move before the NFL trade deadline expires at 3 p.m. CT Tuesday.

“The things that I've seen that were really outstanding and made the best sense, was when the phone rings and they come to you. That's all the difference in the world. You pay a huge price, a premium when you (call another team). I don’t look for us to be doing anything today," Jones said Tuesday on Shan and RJ on 105.3 The Fan.

Jones went on to say that the team likes its young players and has reinforcements on the way with players such as receiver Michael Gallup and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence expected to return shortly.

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones had a similar stance on the deadline when he visited with the K&C Masterpiece on Monday.

"Our phone lines are open. I will say this, we really like our football team, and we all know how quickly (things can change). ... You can think you've got some depth at one point, and the next minute you're up against the wall," Jones said. "If the right situation came along, we felt like it was worth it to maybe give up a little in one area to really improve ourselves in an area that we felt like it would make a difference, then we're open to that.

"Obviously, with what we've got coming back off the injured list, the way guys have been stepping up. At the end of the day, you need them all. So, it would have to be something really significant to make us make a move."
