ARLINGTON (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys needed quarterback Dak Prescott to lead them to a 98-yard touchdown drive in order to beat the 1-10-1 (now 1-11-1) Texans 27-23 on Sunday, but owner Jerry Jones isn't sweating it.
When asked after the game if he was disappointed by his team squeezing out a win over a team they were favored to beat by 17 1-2 points, Jones said he was "so proud" and "elated" by the come-from-behind victory.
Jones went on to give the Texans credit for how hard they played, but was pleased that his team found a way to get it done.
"I think their record would make anyone take them lightly. But that's the miscalculation. You shouldn't take them lightly," Jones said when asked if his team overlooked Houston. "They've got outstanding football players. ... And those quarterbacks today looked like Brett Favre, both of them (Davis Mills and Jeff Driskel). They gave us more than we wanted to today, and we were fortunate to have that 98-yard drive. That took a lot of fortitude. From that drive right there, I think we're a better team than when we entered the game."
