DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys were victims of a scare on Sunday vs. the Minnesota Vikings, when Micah Parsons appeared to be hobbled with an injury, putting his availability for Thursday's matchup vs. the Giants.
However, during his Tuesday visit with 105.3 the Fan, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones gave Cowboys Nation some good news, telling Shan and RJ that Parsons did not require an MRI, and that he does expect him to play on Thanksgiving Day.
“His physicalness is amazing," Jones said. His physical durability is amazing. Just think about the numbers of contacts that he’s having out there. I mean, just with reckless abandon — not reckless, but just with abandon. You’re going to get bumped. We’re expecting him to go.”
Parsons will be coming off of another dominant performance, in which he finished with four tackles, two sacks, one tackle for loss and five quarterback hits.
Parsons will be looking for a bounce back performance vs. New York, as during the Cowboys first matchup with the Giants in Week 3, Parsons was held to one tackle and two quarterback hits.
The Giants and Cowboys will kick off at 3:30 pm on Thursday.
