Jerry Jones: 'I'm not looking at free agency to fill voids'

Despite generating $20 million in salary cap space after flipping a switch on CeeDee Lamb's contract and saving money on Osa Odighizuwa's new team-friendly deal, the Cowboys still don't have designs of making impact additions to the roster through free agency.

When asked if he expects to be aggressive in free agency after EVP Stephen Jones said the team would be 'selectively aggressive' this offseason, Jerry Jones didn't necessarily agree.

“I don’t think aggressive is the right word. ... I’m not looking at free agency as a place to fill voids,” Jerry Jones said Wednesday following Zack Martin's retirement press conference at The Star.

Instead, Jones believes the team can fill at lot of their voids through the draft.

That sounds familiar...
