DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is backing head coach Mike McCarthy despite the team dropping to 2-5 this season following their 25-3 loss to Washington on Sunday.
"I got my man," Jones said of McCarthy Tuesday morning on 105.3 The Fan. "We wanted someone that in case the you-know-what hit the fan, had the credibility and had the ability to stand tall and strong as our head coach. And he’s doing that. He's doing that in the face of adversity."
Jones comments about his confidence in McCarthy come after the NFL Network reported last week that players had "lost faith" in the team's coaching staff.
Jones also got a little testy in the interview when Shan Shariff asked a question about whether or not their is a lack of leadership in the Cowboys locker room.
