Jerry Jones on Dak's injured calf: Bye week "ought to take care of it"

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys are off to their best start since 2016 with a record of 5-1, but they got a scare when their quarterback was put in a walking boot following their Week 6 win over the Patriots.

However, it appears that Dak Prescott, who suffered a calf strain, avoided a serious injury.

During his visit with Shan and RJ on Tuesday morning, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones echoed the comments his son Stephen made on the K&C Masterpiece on Monday when he said that they were "optimistic" about the results of Prescott's MRI, and were 'thinking positive' about his chances of playing against the Vikings following their bye week.

“I think the fact that the bye is there, my feeling is that ought to take care of it in terms of enough time to get to where he can really compete normally. I would probably be a little concerned if we were playing this week, but the fact we got two, I [think we're] in good shape."
