DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys won't know if they'll have two of their key players until 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones indicated on 105.3 The Fan Friday morning that left tackle Tyron Smith and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence will be game-time decisions for the game vs Seattle.
After discussing how it gets decided that a player is a game-time decision and what all is involved to make the determination if the player can play in the game, Jones admitted they'll go through the same protocol with Smith and Lawrence before Sunday's game.
In his press conference with the media on Friday, coach Mike McCarthy said he was encouraged about Lawrence's availability to play based on the progress of his knee recovery.
As for Smith, McCarthy said the All-Pro was making progress but they wouldn't have an idea of his status until after Saturday's walk-through.
