DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys are starting to come out the other side of an injury-plagued first half of the season, with more and more key contributors coming back each and every week.
One of the biggest of those, was left tackle Tyron Smith, who missed a handful of weeks after getting injury in the Cowboys win over Minnesota.
With the return of Smith, and both Terence Steele and La'el Collins deserving to be on the field, many wondered what the Cowboys plan would be at right tackle.
During his weekly Tuesday visit with Shan and RJ on 105.3 the Fan, Jones revealed the Cowboys plans, noting that both would play an extensive amount this Sunday against the Washington Football Team.
“We will use the fact we’ve got Collins at his best this year," Jones said. "We’ve got Steele, we’ll use that as a way to help our running game. We will do that. What that lets us do relative to any other formations that we want when we use a big guy in that normally you’d have a tight end there, that will help us out.”
With all of that said, Jones did not reveal which player will indeed get the start on Sunday.
“I don’t look at that," Jones told 105.3 the Fan. "Both of them will play a lot.”
And given the way both have played, that should come as no surprise.
The Cowboys and the Washington Football Team will kick off at noon on Sunday from FedEx Field.
