Jerry Jones ahead of Seattle matchup: 'We've got some serious work to do.'

After squeaking out a miraculous comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys might have saved their season from a way-too-early demise.

Had they lost that game, they would be heading into week three's matchup with the 2-0 Seattle Seahawks, sitting at 0-2 with a possibility of the 0-3 death sentence starring them in the face.

Afterall, just five teams since 1980 have made the playoffs after starting 0-3, including a total of one since the turn of the century -- the 2018 Houston Texans.

Fortunately for Dallas, however, they managed to pull of the win. Unfortunately, they must now head to Seattle to take on a Seahawks team, that has looked like one of the best team's in the league through the first two weeks.

To make things even more difficult, injuries and poor defensive play are still glaring issues for Dallas, who sit in the bottom 10 of the NFL in both yards (401) and points (29.5) allowed per game so far this season.

During his weekly visit with 105.3 the Fan's Shan and RJ, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones addressed those concerns, and indicated that while he is well aware of his team's massive issues defensively, it also leaves plenty of room for improvement.

"We've got a lot of work," Jerry Jones told 105.3 The Fan's Shan and RJ. "We're not taking a football team into Seattle thats hitting on all cylinders at all. We've got a lot of work to do. You saw it defensively, we've got some serious work to do. We've got alignments to work on, we've got basic defensive technique to work on. We're still working through the kinds of things you might be working through midway through training camp. Now other teams are too. And so, we've got a lot to work on, but that's the good news."
