DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - It appears that Fox Sports 1's Skip Bayless has, once again, gotten himself mixed up in a bit of controversy involving the Dallas Cowboys.
Back in October of 1989, the Cowboys were one of the worst teams in the NFL.
Seeing the writing on the wall, a young Jerry Jones and head coach Jimmy Johnson pulled the trigger on a trade that sent star running back Herschel Walker and draft picks to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for several players and a plethora of future draft picks.
As everyone knows, those draft picks were used to select some key players from the Cowboys' Super Bowl run in the 1990s (Emmitt Smith, Russell Maryland, Kevin Smith and Darren Woodson).
As for what happened right before that trade occurred, Bayless recently claimed on his show 'Undisputed' that Johnson gave him inside information that the trade was about to go down.
"I was right in the middle of it. ... Jimmy actually came to me ... and asked me, 'What if I told you I could trade Herschel Walker for a king's ransom?' That's what he asked me.
"I said, 'Seriously'?''
But, according to Johnson, Bayless is lying about the interaction.
"Never said this," Johnson said in response to a tweet showing Bayless tell a made-up story.
Bayless continues to make a habit out of rocking Cowboys Nation, a team he claims to root for
