DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - After suffering an ankle injury that forced him to leave Thursday night Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic had his injury status updated on Friday morning.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Doncic will be considered day to day with what he described as a 'mild sprain'.
"After hurting his left ankle in victory over Suns on Thursday, Mavericks All-Star Luka Doncic is expected to be day-to-day with what's described as a "mild sprain," Wojnarowski tweeted.
Heading into Thursday night, Doncic had put the Mavs on his back and had a career year as a result, averaging 33.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, 8.6 assists and 1.5 seals per game.
He was also hitting nearly 50 percent of his shots from the floor, and leads the NBA in 20-point games, 30-point games, 40-point games, and 50-point games.
Doncic currently sits second in the MVP odds behind Denver Nuggets big man, Nikola Jokic.
