DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - When the Playmaker speaks, we all listen very closely. Especially when it comes to Odell Beckham Jr.
Michael Irvin joined 105.3 The Fan on Wednesday to discuss where things stand with the chase to sign the free-agent wide receiver, and just as he did last week, he was ready to pour gasoline on the fire.
“Odell is built to be in Dallas. He’s been wanting to play in Dallas for a long time. I believe (the Cowboys) do have the upper hand right now," Irvin said on 'Shan and RJ.' "He's not going back to the Rams with the way they look right now. He's not going to Green Bay with the way they look right now. It'll definitely be Dallas. I think he'll have that opportunity. I wonder what the (price will be) because he'll have other opportunities. Jerry (Jones) just has to get in and get it done. And the good thing is, you're not giving up any draft picks (to get him). So, it would be a great get if (Jerry) can get Odell. ...I know he would love to play for the Cowboys."
As for Jones, he said Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan that he's already envisioning what Beckham will look like in a Cowboys uniform.
“Odell is someone that we have all the appreciation in the world for what he is as a competitor. I know the Cowboys star on that helmet when he puts it on could look pretty good," Jones said on 'Shan and RJ.'
Beckham is still recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in the Super Bowl while playing for the Rams, but according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, he's expected to be medically cleared and will be ready to go "by the end of this week."
