DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys are continuing to shore up their secondary by signing cornerback Kyron Brown to a two-year deal, the team announced late Sunday.

Brown, 25, signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2019 after he played four seasons at the University of Akron.

Brown appeared in three games with the Jets in 2019 before a quad injury forced him to miss the rest of the season. He ended up spending the entire 2020 season on the PUP list as he recovered from the injury.

The Jets cut Brown in May, making him a free agent.

The Cowboys were also reportedly close to an agreement with safety Malik Hooker on Friday, according to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher.

It's unknown how Brown's signing might impact (if at all) Hooker's expected agreement with the Cowboys.
